RAID: Shadow Legends Champions Hub
The champion hub: how champions work, the collab heroes everyone asks about, and where rarities and shards fit into collecting.
What is a Champion?
Champions are the playable characters of RAID: Shadow Legends — 800+ unique heroes that you collect, level, rank up and equip. Each champion has a rarity, an affinity, a faction and a skill kit that defines their role in a team.
Building a roster is the heart of the game: no single champion wins everything, so you collect a spread of roles and pick teams for each mode. The rarities and shards behind that collecting are covered below and in the Rarities guide.
Collab champions
Plarium regularly teams up with other franchises for limited-time collab champions. Most collab heroes were free during their original events — usually through login campaigns or event participation.
Availability changes between events — these champions were free during their original events, and there is no guarantee they will return.
| Champion | Collab & availability |
|---|---|
| Wukong | Sun Wukong collab — originally a free login-reward champion. A strong all-rounder used in multiple modes. |
| Skeletor | Masters of the Universe collab — originally free during its event. A damage-focused collab champion. |
| He-Man | Masters of the Universe collab — originally a free login champion. A heavy-hitting attacker. |
| Alice | Alice collab — originally available through its event window. A versatile damage champion. |
| Ezio | Assassin’s Creed collab — originally obtained during the collab event. A fast, burst-oriented champion. |
| Predator | Predator collab — originally available through the collab campaign. A high-damage champion. |
| Xenomorph | Alien collab — originally earned during the collab event. A unique damage and utility champion. |
Collab champions are collectible but rarely unique in power — regular champions can fill the same roles. Build them if you like the character or if they fit your roster, not because a collab label makes them mandatory.
Rarities overview
Champions come in rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic. Higher rarities tend to have stronger base kits, but the system details vary by version and update, and a well-built lower-rarity champion regularly outperforms a neglected higher-rarity one.
Full detail on each rarity is in the Rarities guide.
Champion shards
Shards are the summoning currency of the game: opening a shard grants a champion, with different shard types having different champion pools. Shards come from gameplay, events, quests and occasionally promo codes — see Promo Codes.
The exact shard types and their odds change between updates; exact rates are not published here. Open shards during 2x events for the best average value, and save your best shards for events that reward summoning — see the Events guide.
FAQ
Common questions about this topic.
How do I get Wukong?
Wukong was a free collab champion during its original event window. Availability changes between events — if it is not currently offered, keep an eye on official announcements for a possible return.
How do I get Skeletor?
Skeletor was free during the Masters of the Universe collab event. These champions were free during their original events — availability changes.
What collab champions exist?
Well-known collab heroes include Wukong, Skeletor, He-Man, Alice, Ezio, Predator and Xenomorph. Each was available through its original collab event.
What is the best Legendary champion?
There is no permanent best Legendary — it depends on the mode, your roster and the current meta. Community tier lists are the best starting point.
What is an Epic champion?
Epic is a mid-tier rarity between Rare and Legendary. Some Epic champions are meta-relevant for years, which is why rarity alone never decides a champion’s value.
